If you've been dealing with recurring vaginal symptoms - the kind that keep coming back no matter what you try - you already know how exhausting it is to not get a clear answer. Part of the reason that happens is structural: research shows that 2 out of 3 vaginal infections are misdiagnosed. This is because so many vaginal conditions mimic each other's symptoms, and most conventional testing isn't built to tell them apart.
Our qPCR Microbiome Panel was created to change that.
How qPCR Changes the Picture
Our Vaginal Microbiome Panel uses quantitative PCR (qPCR) technology, the same method physicians rely on to diagnose vaginal conditions in clinical settings. But our proprietary panel goes further than standard testing by targeting 55 specific organisms and returning actual microbial counts, not just a positive/negative flag.
Unlike relative abundance methods, our qPCR-based panel also detects emerging pathogens that are often missed in routine testing. The result is a more complete, clinically meaningful picture of your vaginal environment, and one your doctor will trust, because it's built on the same technology they already use.
When your results come back, they're delivered to your secure dashboard as an easy-to-read report with actual organism counts. From there, you'll meet with one of our specialist physicians to review what the data means for you and receive a personalized treatment plan.
And because repeat testing is available, you can track how your microbiome changes over time.

How to Take Your Swab
Good news: the hardest part of this process is waiting for your results. The swab itself takes about five minutes, start to finish, and you do it from home.
Here's how:
Step 1: Review and confirm your activation code - On your account dashboard, click “Activate Test” and check that the activation code matches the code printed on your test kit box. This helps ensure your sample is correctly linked to your test and that
your results are matched to your account.
Step 2: Prepare the swab - Unwrap the swab without touching the tip or letting it contact any surface. This keeps your sample uncontaminated.
Step 3: Insert the swab - With clean hands, gently insert the swab about 1–2 inches into the vagina. It shouldn't cause any discomfort.
Step 4: Collect the sample - Rotate the swab in several full circles along the vaginal walls for about 20 seconds, making sure the tip makes contact with all sides.
Step 5: Secure the sample - Remove the swab and place it into the collection tube. Snap it at the breakpoint so it fits, then screw the cap on tightly.
Step 6: Send it back - Package the tube in the included biosafety bag, place it in the prepaid return box, and drop it in the mail. Your sample is on its way.
What Happens Next
Once your sample reaches our lab, it's analyzed using our 55-target qPCR panel. You'll receive your results on your secure dashboard, along with a scheduled call with one of our specialist physicians to review your findings and talk through next steps, including prescription treatment when appropriate.
